Your wedding day may fly by, but your gown doesn’t have to. Proper wedding gown preservation ensures your dress stays just as beautiful decades from now as it was the moment you walked down the aisle.
At Roselily Bridal, we offer professional preservation kits through Wedding Gown Preservation Company to make the process simple, secure, and stress-free. Here’s exactly how it works:
Step 1: Complete Your Preservation Kit
Once you receive your preservation kit, start by filling out:
The Order Form
The Alternate Delivery Card
For your convenience, your preserved gown can be shipped to your home or even your work address. Be sure to review optional upgrades like the Celebrity Line Upgrade and personalization options if you’d like to elevate your keepsake chest.
Step 2: Mark Areas That Need Special Attention
Use the provided stain stickers to mark any areas of concern. Such as makeup, wine, grass stains, or food spills.
Important:
Only use the stickers included in the kit.
Do not use other adhesives, as they can damage delicate fabrics.
There’s no need to mark the hemline, it’s the most commonly soiled area and will automatically receive special attention.
Even invisible stains (like champagne or sugar) are professionally treated during the preservation process to prevent yellowing over time.
Step 3: Carefully Package Your Gown
Place your gown and any accessories inside the garment bag provided in your kit.
Inside the bag, include:
The white and yellow copies of the Order Form
The Alternate Delivery Card
Payment for any additional items
Secure everything with the twist tie provided
Then place the sealed bag into the preservation box.
Step 4: Prepare Your Shipping Label
Remove the bottom portion of the UPS shipping label and place it on the back of the pink order form.
Keep the pink copy for your records, this is your proof of shipment and reference copy.
Step 5: Seal & Ship
To close the box:
Fold down both flap “A” sections.
Fold flap “B” sections over them.
Seal the box using the tape provided (note: this tape requires moistening).
If preferred, you may use your own packing tape.
Attach the prepaid UPS shipping label to the top of the box. You can:
Give it to any UPS driver
Drop it at a UPS location
Call 1-800-742-5877 (800-PICK-UPS) to find a location near you
Then you’re done!
Step 6: Professional Cleaning & Preservation
Once received, your gown will be:
Expertly cleaned using fabric-safe techniques
Treated for visible and invisible stains
Carefully preserved in acid-free materials
Placed in a museum-quality preservation chest
Your preserved gown will be shipped back to your home or work address within 4–6 weeks from the day it is received.
Why Wedding Dress Preservation Matters
Storing your gown in a closet or plastic garment bag can cause yellowing, fabric breakdown, and permanent staining over time. Professional wedding gown preservation protects your investment, and your memories, so your dress can be passed down, repurposed, or simply admired for years to come.
Your gown was part of one of the most meaningful days of your life. It deserves to be preserved with the same care you felt when you first said yes to it. 🤍
If you purchased your gown at Roselily Bridal and have questions about preservation, we’re always here to help guide you through the process.
